Metricon Jasper 37 Build (Vic)

Same design as to what my house will look like

So close

Well it is just about done........ only thing I have issues is with the front render, but I'm sure that will get fixed.
Just waiting for a inspection and then we can move in.

Major jobs ahead

 - Dig out about 2 meters long x 90cm deep of dirt and clay so we have move access at the back. We have
a pool that is ( now) built up after the block was leveled.
- Driveway
- Concrete sideways
- Deck outside the rear timber door entry
- Change all crappy globes to strong one's
- Design the front garden ( wife's job)
- Timber flooring
- Window blinds and fly screens
- Locks on the doors
- Front and rear garage doors

Updated

Well it's been progressing slow, well slow for us anyway. All the internal painting and electrical wiring has been completed. Things that need to be done
- Plumbing  toilets, taps and spa,
- Kitchen splash back tiling
- Bathroom tiling
- Kitchen and bathroom bench tops
- Oven and range hood installed
- Carpet in bed rooms, leisure and first room
- Window blinds and fly screens
- Locks on the doors
- Front and rear garage doors

We will be doing the timber flooring (once we have the keys) and driveway, water tank and landscaping will get done further down the track.

Jasper Mk2 37 - Metricon design

After many years of doing the display home rounds ( a lot of the display home sites are now occupied LOL ) we settled on the Metricon designed Jasper 37 Mk2.

Here is a google view of our old house and block take some years ago.

Old house was only a small three bedroom house, with only one living area, we had updated our kitchen but the eating area was to small. But what attracted us to the house was the larger than normal block size (1000 sq m). So in the back of minds we where always going to knock the old house down and rebuild.

In October / November the house was knocked down. We had a bit of delay with knock down but once the permit went through the demolisher acted quickly.

Building officially started on the 5th of February 2010 around 1pm. Although the block was pegged a few days before we think.

Below is a mock up of our house plan ( * copyright owned by Metricon). It is modified to be a bit longer between the rumpus, 3rd and 4th bedrooms. The garage is also a bit longer ( built to the fence line). Works out the Jasper 37 is now a Jasper 39.
